Trust me, I know, because I’ve been there.
my story:
When I was growing up, teachers would always tell me that I showed natural ability at people. The only trouble was, no one majors in “great at people”, and I didn’t see any “people professional” options at the career fairs. So, after 4 years of liberal arts school and one theatre-and-entrepreneurship bachelor’s degree later, I decided that my best option would be to squeeze myself into a box labeled “sales” and kick off my approvable corporate career path.
While I spent the majority of my early career crushing every goal set before me regarding sales and nonprofit fundraising, underneath it all I actually spent most of that time feeling like I was walking through a maze... blindfolded.
Some days were better than others, but when I did smack my head against a wall, man it f**king hurt. I struggled to find my voice in the workplace, which also caused my confidence to plummet alongside it. I always considered myself a high achiever and rooted my identity in this label up until that point. But for some reason, no matter how hard I worked or pushed myself to make someone else proud… I kept hearing how I just missed the mark, or landing just shy of “success”. I was passed up for promotions, given work to do but never valued for my gifts, and was told I was too creative for my own good. I was frustrated and confused, and couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t experiencing the fulfillment that comes from following my dreams…
Except I wasn’t following my dreams. I was performing for everyone else.
And then 2020 happened…
Needless to say I lost my job, my health, and had a full on identity crisis. While some would say I hit rock bottom, what really happened by clearing everything I thought was important away, it actually revealed how disconnected I had become to my own passion, values, and energy. How disconnected I had become to what I want and what my soul craved. Everything I had been chasing was for other people. For their external validation that I was “successful” and worthy.
So I started on my journey of rediscovering myself and rebuilding from a foundation connected to my intuition and meant to support my version of success.
And at first it was chaotic as hell…
but that changed when i finally listened to the whispers of my soul to create: golden bee
With 5+ years of human development experience and a 8 year career in sales & human development plus my degree in entrepreneurship - I decided to create my own reality and now I help other creative entrepreneurs and female business owners do the same thing.
After building my own successful business by dedicating myself to both the strategy and the woo that fuels entrepreneurship, I’ve refined my M.E.A framework (mindset, energy, action) to help more women create simple, passionate and insanely successful businesses while having the time of their life.
